You are once again putting into words all the things I think about but have little ability to communicate 🥰 I very much appreciate the perspective of 'starting with the end in mind'. I think we can easily forget where we are going while we are always looking down, physically, at the toddlers. My husband graduated Logos, and I'm trying to catch up on classical education and all the ramifications for our kiddos. (Public school dropout here 😅) And hopefully someday they go even further with christian classical ed than he did!

We love Beethoven Lives Upstairs, too. Did you know it's taken from a picture book by the same title? I'm also making a note to look up Kodály. I'm not familiar with this but would like my kids to become better sight-singers than I am!

Kodaly is a higher barrier to entry cuz it’s a whole methodology with certification and such and expensive materials, but well worth it to find a local teacher
